Slideshow: Tradeshow



This slideshow (no audio) was put together with photos provided by Crystal Ridge Developments. If you've got a trade show or corporate event coming up, a video/slideshow is a great way to show off your product or company. Plus the video created can be reused for your website or other promotional material later!

Screencast: Signing Up for Flickr and Embedding Slideshows



This screecast was put together for our clients who wanted to learn how to use Flickr to embed photo slideshows on their website. Screencasting is a great way to demonstrate features of your website or software when you want to walk users through certain features before sending them on to try it out on their own.

J&H Builders Warehouse Floor Install Demo



This video was put together with J&H Builders to demonstrate how easy it is to install a new brand of laminate flooring. Video allows you to show things that are otherwise hard to visualize with photos or text.

Horizon College Promotional Video



This video was put together with Horizon College & Seminary in Saskatoon as a promo for their 2009/2010 session. Combining photography, video footage and interviews allows you to tell a complete story of your company or event. Also, by intentionally producing the video with many different venues in mind allows you to reuse your footage for your website, advertisement displays in your store, DVDs that you send to clients or presentations that are given at tradeshows.

Reasons to Get Video Production

My name is Chris and I’m the newest member of YasTech Developments. One of my passions is helping people create great content for their websites, particularly in the area of video. Here’s a few quick reasons to have video on your website:

  • Personality
    A quick, interesting and fun video is a great way to introduce yourself or your company to a potential client. For example, If your company sells toilet paper perhaps a video explaining why you’re so passionate about toilet paper would show why they should choose your brand over your competitor’s.
     
  • Stand Out in Search
    A video can make your site stand out in a search engine. Do a search for “How to install Toilet Paper” and you’ll see that video results, at least on Google, are often the 3rd or 4th listing. If you’ve got a product you sell, we could help you develop a series of videos explaining how to use that product more effectively (we’ll stop using the toilet paper example at this point.)
     
  • Reach People
    Your video, if produced well, can go to places your website won’t. Think of folks searching on Youtube who might not come across your website but will see your video. Or perhaps by producing a monthly podcast on ‘How to Install Toilet Paper Properly’ (had to slip in one more example) you reach someone else on the iTunes podcast listing.
